... we spontaneously pulled off the highway and discovered the restaurant via Google "and chance." A wonderful, shady and quiet terrace – the food was excellent... Including a great salad... Everything was prepared with lots of love.... 👍🤩

This restaurant used to be called Baselstab and was a cozy restaurant with fair prices and fine home cooking. Since the renovation and reopening as Restaurant & Pizzeria Baselstab, the restaurant has now belonged to new owners. I was excited about what to expect and visited the restaurant with a good friend. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I noticed the stale smell of oil and the extreme smell of the food. Probably a problem/or poor ventilation. The Christmas decorations seemed relatively cheap and totally inappropriate. After waiting for a while, we were served by a waiter who asked us about our drinks. Due to his poor knowledge of German, it was difficult to order non-carbonated water and a Cola Zero. Despite the open menu, the waiter was very pushy and asked twice if we had already decided on the dishes. Although we said we would need a moment. Bruschetta was ordered as a starter and spaghetti carbonara with additional onions and garlic as the main course. Here too, the staff's lack of knowledge of German was tedious and tiring. The starter and main course came quite quickly. The bruschetta portion was too small for the price. The spaghetti carbonara was fresh, but was swimming in oil and there was practically no bacon 🥓 to be seen. The onions were not chopped but added in halves and the cheese in broken pieces. The food was fattening and tasted of fat. The portion was filling. Only the toilet facilities were clean. Conclusion: This restaurant deserves 0 stars. Bad smell, poor German language skills of the staff, inappropriate decoration, poor quality of the food. One visit and NEVER again. You seem to be very bad at dealing with criticism. Not facing the truth is the sad evidence of incompetence and self-praise. I rate honestly and transparently. Why don't you go to your mother and cry your heart out? Maybe you'll feel better then. I would be happy to pay for a German course for your waitress. Oh yes and to mention again, your restaurant is terrible.

Super friendly service and the food was an absolute pleasure. Highly recommended.
