This is one of the only two restaurants in the old town open for lunch on Christmas Day. Without much of a choice, I didn't read any review before stepping in. The fish filet with rice and veggies I ordered turned out to be one of the best seafood meals I've had in Europe. Only now when writing this review did I realise that this place is primarily known as a steak house, so that is funny.

Unexpectedly found a restaurant open on Sunday. The service was excellent and friendly. Have ordered beef tartar, Gordon blu, and Black Cod. Me and my family are very satisfied and have a wonderful time here❣️Will come again next time when we go to Solothurn.

If you don't fancy visiting Solothurn for its beauty, then do it because of restaurant Löwen. Well, that is if you like eating meat. Because meat... they have plenty of it. It's actually a challenge just to make your choice out of the vast options there are on the menu. But regardless what you choose, I'm sure you'll be served a tasty meal. So far I can at least recommend the rib-eye. But I'm sure I'll go back to try some other cuts.
