Lovely restaurant just outside Appenzell. Exterior is traditional building but interior, in true Swiss fashion, is modern and light. Food was excellent with enough variation for everyone but not so much that it could be fresh ingredients. I had one of the creamiest raviolis I remember havinf Staff were very friendly and helped us struggle through the German menu with the use of some Google Translate.

Amazing atmosphere and nice decor. I love how well they integrated wood into the interior design. There are large windows which lighten the room and, in our case, offered a nice mountain view. Service was great, the waitress responded well to our wishes. In my opinion, the menu selection could be broader but the dishes that were served were delicious. However, the café de Paris was deep-frozen. Therefore, it cooled down my chop quite a bit and resulted in a bad aftertaste. I was hoping for a creamy taste. The desserts are good apparently, although I did not try one myself. The espresso was brewed too hot, burnt and not to my liking. Nevertheless I do recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a homely and inexpensive experience.
