Like many restaurants attached to a sports club in Switzerland, Le Paddock, the restaurant on the premises of the Swiss National Stud farm close to Avenches serves simple but rather well cooked and presented food for a relatively modest sum of money. I had lunch here this Saturday in the beginning of December and was pleasantly surprised they had size 3, Cancale oysters at 1 CHF a piece so I started my meal with a dozen, followed by a rösti that was far from generous in size and swam in oil/butter when coming out of the oven. In all a mixed experience with two extra stars for the oysters...

A bit of a stressful welcome from a server - little time to look at the menu and choose nice suggestions on the menu, nice choice of dishes - as well as the menu with several choices, suggestions and the suggestion 👍🏼🌹 fair price - nice terrace - and inside view of the indoor riding arena 👍🏼 apricot jealousy dessert well presented🌹nice place -

Great service. THANK YOU! Excellent bison burger and chicken breast. The desserts are great too. Just the right size to treat yourself. Shaded and very quiet terrace. Hurry and go before the end of summer!
