The welcome from the boss and the service were very friendly and warm. The cordon bleu was excellent and the Schlorzifladen was top class. Top and highly recommended!!!

Today, on Easter Sunday, my mother and I drove to the beautiful, rural Steintal valley near Ebnat-Kappel. The road to the Speer Restaurant, at the foot of the local mountain, Speer, is narrow, and the area feels very rural and increasingly isolated. This beautiful place is a real find. It's incredibly cozy and homey, and the dining room is full of charm. We were served a colorful, crisp salad first. This was followed by a classic Cordon Bleu, fried in the traditional way. This was accompanied by a lovely vegetable bouquet and fries. The sweet dessert is also homemade: hand-stirred iced coffee and mille-feuille . We enjoyed a wonderful lunch here, with a fantastic atmosphere, courteous, attentive service, and, above all, a truly amazing meal. Thank you all. We'd love to come back. Hopefully the spear will be cloud-free then 😁.
