Restaurant und Pizzeria Bahnhöfli, Bahnhofpl. 1, 3860 Meiringen

I give this restaurant a 3/5 because of the FLIES. everything was delicious. We had the chicken breast, the veal breast, and a Pizza. Everything was really good. My only big problem is that the service is nothing special and that we had to try hard to keep the flies away from our table . If you keep fighting the flies all the time you can’t really enjoy the experience.

Food: the pizza here is very nice! It will arrive a little wet so you need to let it rest a bit and solidify. Normally this would be done in the kitchen but I was there on a Saturday and they were packed so they were sending food as they made it. Once rested, the pizza is packed with flavour!! Meaty, cheesy, hearty.. they hit all the marks. I gandered the other menus items and watched as they left the open kitchen but I would stay on the pizza menus, everything else looked irresponsible. The service is bad, unfriendly, and rushed but that’s what you can expect in a tourist town ready made for drunk, foreign, skiers. You will not feel welcome but you won’t care after tasting their sud-tirol style pies. Service is just not their thing, but they are efficient and can turn a table in minutes having you sat and ready to eat in no time. The atmosphere is good, warm and inviting with electric candles and warm lamps and natural wood throughout. This is the top pizza place in town, I walked in the others that were open and they were empty unfortunately. 5 stars overall because I rate based on the town and not overall experience. Bon appetite!

Nice and cozy restaurant. Friendly service. We came without reservation and sat us in no time. We ordered a risotto and a pizza. Both of them delicious!
