A great traditional restaurant tucked away cosily on a side street in Riehen. The setting is fantastic, with the old wooden framed building set on a quiet corner. There are seats inside in the old wooden panelled rooms and also a large terrace at the back where you can eat outside and soak up the atmosphere. The food is great with friendly service to match!

After many years living in Riehen, I finally visited Sängerstübli. It is absolutely wonderful. Nice old-style atmosphere, great service, and excellent food. Of special note is the option of small portions. Almost all of their main dishes offer a half-portion . For us, that was perfect. We had room for some of the excellent desserts. My dish was pasta with salmon and was very good. We will definitely make this a regular restaurant. Prices are "Swiss-normal".
