Wirtschaft zum Obstgarten - IL FRUTTETO, Thundorferstrasse 110, 8500 Frauenfeld

Finally made it to the Obstgarten restaurant, as it's not that far from my home. At first I was a little confused because the web site shows no sign of pizza, yet when you drive by, a sign clearly shows this restaurant is also a Pizzeria. The outside terrace looks really nice under the trees. The yellow chairs makes the atmosphere look a bit cheap from far away, but up close it's not that bad. The food was very good, we had pizza and a fish soup. The service was very friendly and forthcoming, we never had to wait long. Really appreciated that the drinks were served BEFORE the food. Sounds crazy but a lot of restaurants mess this up nowadays. We'll come back again.

We were in this restaurant two days ago . The restaurant is very warm and cozy. Unfortunately, despite making a reservation, we got a rather bad table , but it wasn't too bad. The service was very friendly, a little sloppy at times , but we found it pleasant. The food was very mixed. The starter, the bruscetta with gorgonzola was to die for, we loved it. The wild garlic pizza was great, for me it was missing some wild garlic, but for my partner it was just right. My wild garlic risotto with shrimps was rather disappointing. The risotto tasted like wild garlic, but unfortunately neither the grain of rice nor the preparation of the risotto saw a single pinch of salt. Nevertheless, the consistency of the risotto was very good, I pimped it up myself with salt and parmesan. Will definitely come back again, just order something different. :)

Economy to the IL FRUTTETO orchard – a treat for the whole group! We stopped here for lunch with our group of 14 – and were warmly welcomed. The service was friendly, the food was a real hit! All meat dishes were cooked to perfection - so good that I had to defend my plate. 😄 We'll definitely remember this restaurant - we'll be happy to come back! Thanks for the great hospitality!
