Great historic place, ales straight from the cask and a cood cider choice. Had an extremely tasty chicken sandwich with a river view with a few very well kept ales

Lovely quirky proper real ale (and cider) pub with friendly staff and good views up the Clyst. The red arrows even put on a show for us (though they appeared to be operating monochrome only, perhaps a funding cut!). Pitchers of beer are a nice extra. Close to Topsham station and the 57 bus route.
