First visit in 64 years as they opened early for Wokswirth festival.Wuzzelele on in the beer garden only lasted 7 mins before the monsoon arrived.continued in the games room .Got addicted to the Brennans Irish stout and received a free bottle of Belgian beer as it was well matured but tasted ok

We have been screening a selection of International Short films in the old barn, which is part of The Royal Oak, an intimate venue holding approx 35 people. We have also seen an art exhibition and live music in the same venue: worth a visit for this alone. See their Facebook page for events coming up. Beer 1st rate

Possibly the best pub in the area but certainly the best kept beer. Friendly and welcoming old school pub with a landlord whose attention to serving the best pint possible makes this a real gem of a pub. Whiskey collection is not half bad either. It’s a joy to drink in this pub.
