Lovely little pub. Very friendly staff, the pub is also dog friendly. We often sit outside with a drink watching the river but we've sat inside for a meal a few times with our dog. We've never stayed in the actual hotel

The smell of urine in the bar area. Sticky tables. Filthy, left over from Covid hand sanitiser station. Flies. If this is what you're looking for in a pub then look no further, you'll find all in abundance at The Anchor.
