An iconic restaurant right at the foot of the Zugspitze mountain and near the Eibsee lake! There is a large playground for kids, meadows to run on and a view of the cable car line. A stunning place to have a beer and traditional bavarian dishes. The owners are very friendly, it's a must to meet them!

Dine with a view and don't miss the amazing Kaiserschmarm to make this the perfect meal! This was the only place that was open to guests when we travelled (Oct) so we happened to eat here by chance. Its at the end of the parking lot to the train station. The menu is like any other biergarten, slightly pricey, the food took time to arrive but it was very good. For a change I tried the buttermilk, it was quite rich and creamy. We ordered a Kaiserschmarm to share and it was simply delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and the Berry puree was a good compliment.

Lovely food in an amazing location beneath the Zugspitze and a short walk from the Eibsee. The pork escalope (filled with onion and mustard) burger, flammkuchen and apple strudel were delicious. Friendly staff.
