Lake Ammersee might just be one of Germany’s finest bodies of water – but let’s talk about what really matters: the food. We dropped by on our first visit just for a quick drink and a slice of cake. But the vibe? Unmistakably solid. So we made a promise: next weekend, we’re coming back hungry. And guess what? Best. Decision. Ever. I went classic – Wiener Schnitzel with fries – and it delivered. Juicy, crisp, full of flavor. No funny business, just straight-up goodness. My partner had the halloumi salad, which hit all the right notes – fresh, balanced, satisfying without trying too hard. Pro move: leave space for dessert. The homemade cakes? Outrageously good. You don’t skip that part. Ever. Price point? Fair. Service? Lovely. The family running the place clearly does it with heart – and it shows. It’s probably not a secret spot anymore, but hey, some places deserve the spotlight. We’ll be back. No doubt.

Very nice location for a sunny day. Here you can find a big beach with very sallow entrance to the water. The Strandhaus is very nice restaurant with tasty food, like calamari salad orc cat fish. The great thing is that by the restaurant is also a small bistro, where you xan buy a quick snack or bratwurst for bigger hunger. The restaurant has a beautiful terrace with the view to the lake. The only disadvantage is that there is no parking. In summer when a lot of people cone it is almost impossible to find a place to park along the street. Or if you fond you xan walk a while there. But the restaurant itself is highly recommended.
