A culinary jewel in Marktredwitz An evening full of enjoyment and elegance Sometimes it's the spontaneous decisions that give us the best experiences. This was also the case this evening, when my wife and I decided to visit Kona’s Restaurant & Bar in Marktredwitz – without a reservation, but with the faint hope of getting a table. What awaited us was much more than a simple dinner - it was an experience for the senses, a composition of exquisite taste, first-class service and stylish atmosphere. As soon as we entered the restaurant it became clear to us: every detail is right here. The interior combines modernity with timeless elegance - high ceilings, large panoramic windows that give the room an inviting openness, and a lighting concept that creates a warm, elegant atmosphere. The green plant walls add a natural freshness and give the ambience a touch of exclusivity. No overloaded decor, no unnecessary gimmicks – a balance of understatement and sophistication. The accessibility of the restaurant is also well thought out. There are four to five parking spaces directly in front of the entrance, and there are additional parking spaces just ten meters further towards the pedestrian zone. If you arrive by car, you don't have to worry about having to search for a long parking space. The welcome from the service staff was warm, professional and with a pleasant level of attentiveness. Despite the busy rooms, we were shown to our table with a charming smile. Within minutes our drink requests were accommodated - my wife opted for a raspberry mojito while I opted for a water with lime. And before we could even get into a conversation, the drinks were already on our table. A speed that impresses - but not at the expense of quality. For the main course I chose a medium rare rump steak with garlic butter, accompanied by finely cooked vegetables and crispy triplet potatoes. And what I was served was much more than just a steak - it was a culinary masterpiece. The meat is cooked to perfection, juicy and tender on the inside, with a golden brown crust on the outside, refined with fine sea salt and a subtle, sophisticated chili note. The vegetables were a poem - crunchy, present in taste, but not dominated by spices. You could taste every aroma, every nuance, as if the chef had taken the greatest care to ensure that each individual product reached its moment of perfection. The triplet potatoes - fried golden yellow, with a delicate crunch on the outside and a buttery softness on the inside - rounded off the dish harmoniously. But a culinary evening doesn't end with the main course. The dessert – Kaiserschmarrn with caramelized pears and vanilla ice cream – was a revelation. Airy, light, gently caramelized, with a golden brown crust that gave gently at the first bite. The sweetness of the pears gave the dessert a pleasant depth, while the vanilla ice cream with its creamy consistency rounded off the ensemble perfectly. What particularly impressed me, in addition to the outstanding cuisine, was the absolute perfection in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. The tables, the cutlery, the glasses - everything was immaculate. The toilets? A true role model for fine dining. In addition to impeccable purity, there were even high-quality care products here - from hand cream to face cream to hair spray for women. What struck me as particularly positive was that there were even deodorants, a small touch that underlines the hotel's high standards of comfort and service. After the meal, I wanted to personally praise the boss - and she immediately made time for us. Authentic, warm, professional and open to feedback – that’s how I imagine a perfect hostess. No fake smile, no feigned politeness - but real passion for what she does.

My absolute favorite restaurant! The food is always excellent – fresh, creative, and prepared with great attention to detail. Eva (owner) and her team are always attentive, warm, and very professional. The ambiance is also cozy and stylish; you immediately feel at home.
