For my birthday, I was looking for a pizzeria near Winterthur's train station with a good reputation, so I decided to spend an evening at La Torre. Unfortunately, neither I nor my family and friends left the restaurant feeling good. First, the good: as I said, it was close to the train station, and the pasta and appetizers were delicious. There were also many gluten-free options. We found several negative aspects: First, it was an extremely hot day, and the restaurant had neither air conditioning nor fans. All the doors were opened, presumably to create a breeze. However, all that came in was the disgusting stench of cigarettes from the smokers outside. The service was also a complete no-go. Constant eye rolling and inappropriate comments about our questions, orders, and behavior continued from beginning to end . The atmosphere was so bad that my friends couldn't feel comfortable. We also heard rude comments from the waiter at the next table. The pizzas were mediocre. What a shame. 10 guests who definitely won't be coming back.
