Americans finding the hidden gem. Had a little bit of translation helped but information was eventually passed on. I wish we knew more French to alleviate. Again all was fine with patience. This restaurant is very traditional and will do fondue in the “cooler” time of year. We came to experience the chefs cuisine overall. He had 5 types of salads that were ALL completed amongst 4 children and 6 adults. Family feast on the mountain terrace. Everything was delicious and we recommend. In America this would be considered a salad plate with meats added. Various meats and a smoked cheese salad. I recommend all so come with a group and share. Chicken cordon blue was great for the kids. It’s family owned and operated. We felt honored as the guests and felt welcome although I broke a chair and 2 glasses from the break. I felt sorry but the chef and wife made me feel like it was no problem. Save room for dessert. Apple pie, cold rhubarb compote with ice cream among clips of ice cream to enjoy. Folks! All the meals were prepared with ingredients within this mountain area. Hats off to the chef. I couldn’t call but made reservations through the email site. Follow the google map directions only and yes it is a homestead and restaurant. Other maps and GPS versions will take you kilometers away. Google Maps and yes this is the place. We drove through a tiny winding road through the forest to find. I was worried because other GPS had other locations. Use google maps once again. I hope others can experience the joyous dinner occasion we had from this post. Try to use French translation as much as possible. We ended up pointing at the chalk board to order and had a seven year old help translate some.
The service of both hosts reminds me the highest quality I`ve experienced ever. Smiled, kind, just lovely. The place is amazing. Is clean, freindly, and has wonderfull view! We`ve ordered there coffe and a cake. All was great. Cappucino and espresso coffe with landscape to high alps. It is usefull, that landscape has description with names of highest peaks. Some cows were jingling the bells under the viewpoint - and thad made this place totally wonderfull. Despite the weather was not ideal, sitting and tasteing their strong, dark expresso was one of best memory from that day. I stronlgly recomend this restaurant with landscape to alps everyone. They have there fondue also - and I believe it is worht to come back soon and taste it!
A must go!
