I had dinner in this sympathetic eatery after having shot the October super-moon. I got the last available table and was rapidly served one of my favorite dishes, calf kidneys, well executed. The menu is strongly meat oriented with a few vegetarian options and the wine list features mostly local wines as it should be. The staff is sympathetic and attentive. Unfortunately, you bring back home the kitchen smell in your clothes, because the door to the kitchen was left wide open for the whole evening. Overall good value for money but room for improvement.

Auberge de Puidoux is one of those places that’s worth the trip. No matter the season, there’s always something to savor, whether it’s the delicious caquelon vigneron in winter or the rich and flavorful game menu in autumn. The warm ambiance, combined with genuinely kind and attentive service, makes every visit feel special. And of course, the local wines are a must-try—both red and white are absolutely delicious, no surprise given that we’re in the heart of the famous Lavaux region. A true gem!
