Côté jardin Coppet / Guillaume Bichet : Grand'Rue 42, 1296 Coppet

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the pastry shop Guillaume Bichet in Coppet, canton of Vaud, Switzerland. I’ve tried several locations of this pastry shop chain, and the quality is consistently excellent. What sets this one apart is the fact that you can actually sit down and enjoy your pastries in a tea room atmosphere — most of the others are more take-away focused. The atmosphere here is intimate and cozy, with a charming interior and a great selection of soft pop and electronic music playing in the background. I had a tartlet with vanilla cream and apple — the vanilla flavor was intense, the cream beautifully smooth, and the fruit was top quality. Really outstanding pastry work. I also had a green tea from Newby , which was also of excellent quality. Although it’s right by the main road through the village, it’s nicely tucked away and surprisingly peaceful. A charming little spot, perfect for a quiet break.

We came here on a rainy day after a tour through the country site, to enjoy a coffee stop. This coffee shop is a bit hidden away in an old renovated building, but once inside it is a large open and modern set up. It is pleasant to sit in this shop and we enjoyed our coffee here that was served with a delicious chocolate covered almond.

Beautiful little cafe/ restaurant in coppet with excellent service, very kind staff and to add to it the food was just so delicious. The best hot chocolate I’ve had in a long time. The Sunday brunches are very famous! Yet to come and experience that! Highly recommend this place. Overall amazing experience! 💕
