Le Sapalet : Route du Revers 19, 1658 Rossinière

We were walking around Rossiniere and wanted something to eat. Hotel was not serving but we ended up asking some local people. A young woman took me up to her garden and pointed out the local cooperative market, which she told me that you just walk in and take what you want - and pay on your honor. So we took a beautiful walk to the South and found a little store full of wonderful local food. Yogurt, ice cream, sausage, cheese, fresh bread, local produce - and we ate and ate such delicious treats. Wrote down on a note pad what we ate and paid with a wave of my phone or we could have put money in the basket. Swiss people were walking and riding bikes with their families and helped us with pictures. Then we took a long walk around Lake Vernex and back up to catch our train back to Sion and on to our airb&b in Vex.

Remember that moment in the kids film when the critic Anton Ego experiences Ratatouille and flashes back to his childhood. Well drinking Le Sapalet milk and eating their yogurt was that for me. I cannot go back now. I ordered online and the service was outstanding, fast and so beautifully packaged to ensure the safe and quality receipt of goods. Thank you!
