Auberge Salanfe : Lac de Salanfe, 1922 Salvan

We stopped here for a rösti and beer after a hike, and it was the perfect reward. The staff greeted us with such friendliness, their warmth matched the sun on our skin as we waited for the food. The food was hearty and delicious, served warm and comforting, just as it should be. A cold beer in hand, good company, and a stunning view of the lake made the whole experience unforgettable. A charming place to rest, refuel, and take it all in.

Gorgeous place next to a reservoir offering delicious dinner and clean bathrooms with shower for both dorm and private rooms. Enjoyed the stay before climbing haute Cime. Credit cards accepted. Same day reservation by calling or in advance on the website. 1-1.5 hike from the car to the hut.

The staff is really friendly. The food is good and the picnic packages are generous. The private bedrooms are really cozy . Hot showers and plenty of bathrooms. I don't mind the lack of internet access from the inside of the building, if you really need it you can have some 4g signal from a building 30m away.
