An great culinary experience at Grotto de la Fontaine. The food was delicious and fresh, with handmade pasta by the house. Northern Italian recipes truly shine. The service is friendly and efficient, and the wine selection is noteworthy. The ambiance is cozy and authentic. The dishes I tried were marvelous: 1. Casarecce à la caponata 🍝, 2. Ravioli au jambon de parme sauce 🥟, 3. Fettuccini au jus truffé 🍄. I can't help but recommend the white wine too: Johannesburg 🍷. A gastronomic adventure you won't want to miss!

Food is good, a bit expensive. The menu has been shrinking, much less variety and less'fancy' than it used to be. I've been eating there for 20 years and have the impression it's been moving somewhat down market. The decor is also not as nice as it used to be, before they removed the actual 'fontaine'. Artisanal pasta is still very good.

Their Calamaretti are out of this world, both by being super fresh and tender, and in the way they serve them on ancient tomatoes and with ground clove on the side!
