Restaurant Walliserkanne : Kantonsstrasse 171, 3929 Täsch

After a hike, this restaurant definitely feels like a cozy place to be. It’s convenient and has large portions of food. The quality is good specially considering it is located in such a small village.

The food is extremely mediocre and overly salty. They charge 1.5 francs for a tiny cup of tap water. When I asked for the manager, he rudely claimed this is common in Switzerland, which contradicts my numerous experiences at other places in the country. Avoid this place at all costs.

Went there twice during a week long stay in Täsch. It’s a solid experience, nothing fancy, but nothing wrong easier. I guess, you can ignore any of the 1-star reviews. Staff IS friendly but doesn’t come around to ask if everything is ok (which I don’t need). Food is good but nothing you take out your better half to out to impress. Servings are decent, couldn’t finish the pizza after I had the starter mozzarella with cherry tomatoes & rucola. Spaghetti Carbonara plus a small salad did the job after a long day on the slopes. After all, there are not too many options in Täsch, and it’s right next to the station, so they don’t have to offer a 5-star experience. With that in mind, you won’t disappointed.
