I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Lion d’Or in Cologny village, right next door to Geneva city on left bank of Rhone river. Food and service are first class here. During good season, aim for early reservation for terrace table with front row view and be fast. Price is quite steep but is made up for by all the above-mentioned qualities.

My husband had a dinner with friends there and said it was exceptional. Service, food, location, wine everything is sophisticated at this place. Even a Christmas dessert which we have ordered there is delicious. Yes! Expensive, but worthy. We’ve had a lunch today at Lion D’or. Everything is classy at this restaurant. Excellent service, exceptionally delicious food, presentation and the breathtaking view!

Amazing food with an amazing view ! The menu frequently changes depending on the season, which says a lot about the freshness of the products. I would absolutely recommend for a summer lunch or dinner, with your other half or with colleagues. The outside terrace is perfect for any occasion. Service is also of very high quality. One of my favorite restaurants in Geneva.
