Schilthorn - Piz Gloria 360°- Restaurant : Schilthorn, 3826 Mürren

The restaurant impressed me with its beautiful view – it’s really something special. Just a heads-up: the whole place slowly rotates, so people who are sensitive might feel a bit dizzy. The food was excellent and they changed it often, so there was always something new to try. A great experience overall!

The floor actually rotates as you eat so you get a full 360 view of the surrounding range. The food up here is expensive. I had the spaghetti Bolognese with a soup buffet that really wasn’t a buffet I quickly learned. Buffet must have some different meaning between the US and Switzerland because I got two cups of soup from the buffet and got charged for both. I didn’t fight them because it was probably my fault. Just be aware of that. The rotating platform was super cool! We calculated that it rotated at about 1 revolution per 45 minutes so it’s super slow. No motion sickness at all. Unfortunately during the time we were here there was a ton of construction going on which hindered the view. But overall it was a cool experience and the food was great. Apparently a movie was filmed up here and they have an entire museum dedicated to it.

Super Alpine experience having an all you can eat brunch at almost 3000 m above sea level. Very nice and kind staff. The menu before 11 is mostly for breakfast and at 11 they start serving the main course. I recommend coming at 10 or 1030 to get the best of both worlds. The sausage, bacon, cold cuts, and cheese were all good. Also love the super complete beverage section. The sparkling wine is also free flow, so help yourself. You can book this experience through their website for around 120 CHF you get both the brunch and return trip. Where you can stop by the two stations in between for a quick break.
