This is the ONLY restaurant we went to twice on our trip to Switzerland. We tried the horse steak (literal horse meat) out of curiosity and it was quite good. Felt a little guilty afterwards because I love horses but where else are you going to get this chance. We also tried the curry wurst (a summer special) and the spaghetti bolognese. Both were absolutely amazing. We had dessert both times. Our first meal cost us over 120 CHF but I’d say it was completely worth it for the chance to try horse and the ribeye. Second meal was around 80 CHF. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to try some authentic Swiss food. They also have some specialty dishes and fondue. It is quite expensive but the food was worth it.
We had a lovely dinner here. Ordered Swiss foods, Raclette, Buure Rosti, & Apfstrudel for 2 people and they were all delicious. Our server was very lovely (forgot to ask for a name but tall curly hair man who was in charge of all service) and we had a great time!
The meals that we ordered and received were excellent! The cowboy rosti was served with a ribeye with an herb butter (very tender and flavorful) and bacon and an egg. Delicious! The Gruyère in the raclette was some of the best cheese we’ve ever had. Two of the five of us visiting did not receive the meals they had ordered, which was not noticed until we mentioned it as the rest of our group had nearly finished our meals. We shared the meals we had received, which wasn’t ideal but also wasn’t a major issue as the portions were very large.
