Strandhotel : Schönbühl 76, 3807 Iseltwald

We stopped here while exploring the lake. We were quite hungry and popped in – and what a pleasant surprise! The food was outstanding. It was the autumn menu, and we kept talking about how good it was for days afterwards.

This is our second time at Strand Hotel. Marc is such a lovely employee! He’s super friendly and kind. I felt so welcome here as a tourist becuase Marc made me feel comfortable and relaxed. His service is amazing! He is a super hard worker and he will always make you laugh! Thank you Marc for everything. We stayed at the hotel for a week and had dinner every night and we’ll definitely come again! The location of the hotel is pretty good. There are places nearby to hike and swim in the lake. You can take a bus or drive to Interlaken where there are shops and lots of things to do especially with family.

Rooms, service of the lady boss as well as the food from the restaurant was great. However, my experience was marred during dinner service as the large-sized server was rather rude towards us. Also observed his subpar attitude towards other Asian and Middle Eastern tourists. Hope the management could fix that. Pity. Just like to add the lady boss was pleasantly nice and accommodating. Just that large sized chap / server in the hotel restaurant.
