Under new management - We were the first guests this season! Amazing views of the valley, the hosts (Heidi and her family) are very nice and the hospitality is super good. Take note- 1.) bring a towel and sleeping bag 2.)hot water and sleeping bag (if you don't bring your own) are extra cost. 3.) electricity is scarse , don't rely on using your Phone charger. 4.) enjoy the peace and quiet! It's absolutely gorgeous place.

My wife and I spent a single night hiking the via Alpina route 1. The hut is midway between Meiringen and Grindelwald. Stop at Rosenlaui glacier gorge for a really cool tour of the power of water. Our double room was superb. The view of the Eiger and Mönch in the distance was a nice addition to the towering Wellhorn nearby. We slept with the windows wide open for an outdoor experience in comfort. The hosts were gracious and accommodating in every way. The really nice shower was much appreciated for a small fee. Dinner was very tasty and included mushrooms picked locally. The valley is gorgeous and the hut is welcoming so we'll be back for sure. Thanks again.
