Restaurant Gemsy : Frutt 4, 6068 Kerns

Classic Fondue for CHF 34.- and I am still hungry. While most places in central Switzerland charge less (24-26), service personnel and the chef stated it was 200gr cheese .... No way! (Photo below for 2 persons, just started) As a Fondue junky with more than 50 yrs of experience across all Switzerland, I never got such a small portion. What a shame for Melchsee-Frutt.

I want to give it a -8, like the temperature tonight! I've never eaten a Fondue 🫕 in 5 minutes... honestly... we were hungry... The bottle of wine was only left in 1 glass... This has never happened to me! They're new owners, friendly, but regarding the quantity, I've never seen anything like this... we mentioned it to the table next to us, and they were also indignant... But... that's how it is... It's a good thing we didn't have friends with us, otherwise we'd be embarrassed for being hungry... I'm not complaining about the price, $34 a serving! I pay what they ask! But I do complain about the quantity! I always have trouble finishing...

Delicious starters and very good cheese fondues with bread, potatoes and pickled vegetables, for dessert we had schnapps and warm chocolate cake, very friendly service!
