We were greeted cheerfully, but we didn't know what to expect. We received an already-opened bottle of water with a dirty glass. Then we were given a bowl of chips we'd never asked for. There was no menu, and the only options were macaroni, spaghetti, or pizza. The salad gave me sudden kidney failure because it was so salty. Luckily, it came with a moldy roll. On to the main course, and we had to taste the spaghetti ourselves first to see if it was cooked! It certainly wasn't. Then there was the smell of burnt pizza, but luckily they made a new one. The spaghetti was fine, but the pizza, on the other hand, had a soup bowl full of tomato sauce on it—much, much too soggy—and the pizzas were undercooked. FAR overpriced for what we received. Definitely NOT recommended. And the chef was barefoot.

I stopped in for lunch today, quite spontaneously, and parked my tour bus right in front of the restaurant. I explained that I needed a 45-minute break and would like something to eat. The very friendly owner and her employee from Sri Lanka understood my problem immediately. I asked them both to make me something nice to eat. After a very short time, I was served this plate pictured, full of all kinds of thinly sliced roast meats, mixed salad, and artichokes. I also received a truly ice-cold Coke Cero, just as ordered. I was completely satisfied. I was even more satisfied when I was told the total price for food, drinks, and excellent service. A whopping 15 CHF. This is a gem in the restaurant world, because the small place was lovingly decorated. You can literally see that LA MAMA put their heart and soul into it. I'll be coming back on a day off just for that reason. I can only recommend it to any future guest.

What a wonderful experience. The hostess takes care of the guests as if they were family. The pizzas are baked on a baking sheet and generously topped and are extremely tasty.
