Hotel La Romantica : Via Principale 25, 7746 Le Prese

Charming Swiss hotel with view of Lake Poschiavo. Le Prese is a small village which was perfectly located for a nights stay during our train ride from Venice to St. Moritz where we would take the Glacier Express through Switzerland. When we arrived at the hotel, we were unexpectedly upgraded to a room with a view of Lake Poschiavo. The staff was very friendly and they spoke English well. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with a very nice bathroom with shower. The bed was comfortable as well. For dinner we ate at IL RISTORANTE GIARDINO. The cuisine and the service was first class. We enjoyed the Paillard do Vitellone which was delicious. The server paired a red wine that went perfectly with the veal. We followed up with an amazing dessert. What is amazing is that the chef, Flavio Lardi, is also the owner of our hotel! In the morning, we were a bit rushed to catch the bus, but were able to grab some delicious pastries and coffee before our departure. We highly recommend both the Hotel and the Restaurant!
