For 10+ years Ume has been a frequent resto for us. However over the last 1-2 years, the food quality has definitely gone down. Last week, we ordered 3 dishes. One vegetarian dish had a single piece of beef in it. The shrimp dish has shrimp that had not been cleaned properly. One had to decide whether to throw away the dish or wash the shrimp. We threw it away. Finally the vegetarian noodles, had hardly any veg. This is the lowest point and we are done with Ume. I can understand a one time failure, but this is now consistent and suggests a kitchen/chef that is dirty and with unclear separation of ingredients.
