We recently visited this restaurant as two couples, and overall it was a really pleasant experience. The atmosphere is excellent – peaceful, cozy, and with a truly stunning view over the lake and mountains. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for a relaxed lunch or a special dinner, especially around sunset. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the food was tasty, nicely presented, and served in decent portions. You can tell they put care into both flavor and plating. The only downside was the pricing, which felt a bit on the high side for what was offered. It’s not the most budget-friendly option, so maybe not ideal for a casual weekly outing. But for a special occasion or if you’re looking to enjoy a great view with good company, it’s worth considering. All in all, a lovely spot with great ambiance and solid food – just be prepared for slightly elevated prices.
During my stay at the GRACE LA MARGNA ST MORITZ, an SLH Hotel, I had the pleasure of dining at The View, the hotel’s signature restaurant—and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set a luxurious yet relaxed tone, with elegant interiors and, as the name suggests, breathtaking panoramic views over the lake and mountains. We ordered the marinated cod and the seabream, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The marinated cod was delicate and perfectly balanced, with subtle flavors that showcased the freshness of the fish. The seabream was equally impressive—beautifully cooked, with a crisp skin and tender, flavorful flesh, accompanied by refined sides that enhanced the dish without overpowering it. The service was impeccable throughout the evening. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming, always present at the right moment without being intrusive. They explained the dishes with confidence and were happy to provide recommendations. What stood out most was how The View combines outstanding cuisine with an unforgettable atmosphere. Whether you’re there for a romantic dinner or a refined culinary experience, it’s a must-visit in St. Moritz. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone staying at the hotel or in the area.
Tasty food, great location. The surprisingly young waiters do a good job but they lack the class of experienced chefs de service. Something I expected given the St. Moritz-style lofty price range.
