Restaurant Central : Dorfstrasse 18, 5745 Safenwil

There is so much to say about this place so let's start from the top. Yes you will book a table at the Central but nobody in the larger vicinity will call it that. They all say, let's go to Anita, the chef and the owner's first name. That tells you that this woman created a name for herself and her craft. This was my third time eating there over the course of 10 plus years. She hasn't disappointed, the food choices are always local and always seasonal. Be ready to try their cervid, if you happen to be there during fall. The menu while not extensive, is rich in its offering. The wine selection extends the menu and offers some labels which are not typically known for most. The place is rustic, welcoming, a place you want to spend some time with friends and family and celebrate life. On that note, be ready to spend some quality time. We walked in at 7:30 pm and walked out by 11 pm. Not because the service is slow, but the experience is rich and worth the indulgence. We tried the salad, the smoked salmon, the soup of the day, the pigs head for appetizers and were not disappointed. Off to the main courses and the indulgence continued. It was for sure hitting my pallet on all cylinders but I think I need to go hit the tennis courts or go for a run over the next few days to burn off the happy lifestyle. One of the best restaurant experience in my life . Why??? Sweet service from Rafael, excellent food and decor, homy atmosphere. Try also wine there. They have great collection that my samolier friend could not resist. Love Love Love

Unpretentious cuisine of the highest quality. What Anita and her team achieve here is sensational. The hostess's warmth is simply unique. An unreserved recommendation for a gourmet visit without artificial fuss, but with honest, top-quality cuisine.
