Brasserie LOK, Lokremise, Grünbergstrasse 7, 9000 St. Gallen

We loved the place and the food! We ordered the beef tartar, the duck and the salmon and everything was worth it. I would not order the salmon again, not because it is bad but because I think it is not representative of the good french cuisine they serve. As a dessert, we had the Cannelé bordelais, which was delicious, I think this one was the right option, something French but not that you can find in other places. Perfect dinner.

The place is gorgeous. It is located in front of the central station of St. Gallen. The restaurant was built on the site of an historic industrial building and is surrounded by art and culture. Very high windows overlooking the outside, this make the place magical. Yesterday night there was lot of snow on the floor and it was very romantic. It seems to me that 100 years ago, trains full with fine fabrics traveled directly from St. Gallen to Paris. For this reason, the menu is inspired by the flavors and recipes of French and Swiss cuisine. The dishes are prepared with care. Each bottle of wine takes you on a journey of flavors. We ordered chicken with mushrooms and a potato millefeuille as well as pork ribs with vegetables. It was all fabulous

Delicious cuisine but also very nice selection of beverages, boasting a delightful Carte des Vins. The restaurant is quite large, and the outdoor space is a haven for summer evenings.
