Last Sunday, July 7th, we called our fave alpine resto Pré-aux-Veaux to reserve a table for 2. We were told that they acquired too this bigger place, now called La Givrine Bar-Resto. It’s near the train station. We came by and was happy to see the same old Pré-aux-Veaux friendly staff, awesome food and same excellent service! Sooo happy to see the transformation from hotel to bar/resto! The toilets are super clean! I hope they will serve my all time favorite rosti royale soon 😍

Very happy that this iconic place is now under new management! Previously it was ghastly! Now the welcome is warm and genuine; the fondue was excellent; the wine was local and good and it was good value. Highly recommended now .

Overwhelmed and rude staff. We arrived for lunch without reservation and were told that we would need to wait for a table to be free and we accepted. After 1h30 minutes waiting, we didn't even get the menu to order! Other people arrived after us and were offered a table and food without waiting that much. Very bad experience there, especially because we were with kids. I don't recommend it
