The "Glashütte" was once a train station, opened with the railway connection on September 25, 1875, as part of the Jura Railway. Today, however, no trains stop here anymore. Instead, or rather, unfortunately, there is now a postal bus. At that time, bog iron ore was mined in the surrounding area, which was processed in the two glassworks that were built. However, operations ceased in 1856. Hence the name "Glashütte."
