A very quaint inn with authentic interiors that makes you feel right at home. Very friendly service, you're truly cared for as a guest. The food is very good, seasonal, and the portions are truly filling. The homemade spaetzle with fresh chanterelles were truly delicious! It's worth a visit!
We just had dinner here, and it was truly outstanding. The cordon bleu was super juicy, and the fries were perfectly crispy. The large side salad of lamb's lettuce with croutons, bacon, and potato dressing was a dream. Beforehand, we were treated to a "winemaker's bread" from the kitchen, a kind of small tarte flambée. The service was super friendly, and we even received tips and flyers for the legendary Angel Trail and other information about the Glottertal Valley. This rustic local is definitely worth a visit.
It wasn't a top experience, but it was solid and overall good. The garlic soup was excellent, the trout Müllerin was good. It was great that the professional service lady asked whether she should debone the fish or whether we wanted to do it ourselves. The Black Forest cup was ok, but at €10.80 it was significantly too expensive for its manageable size. The portion sizes were just fine, but a heavy eater would probably not be completely full with the small soup and fish. There are few parking spaces and they are in a rather narrow courtyard, at an angle behind the house. If you drive in and find that everything is full, you can't turn around in an average-sized vehicle that's common today. You have to back out around the angle to the main road. Good for those who have a rear view camera. Nevertheless, the Buschstube in Glottertal, which is otherwise no longer on the planet in terms of price, probably offers the best price-performance ratio in gastronomy and is therefore a recommendation.
