A charming and down-to-earth landlady who knows her craft. She's run the inn for many years, and the love she's put into this place is evident everywhere. Her diverse herb garden is also impressive, with many surprises in store. The daily menu is set, but you can always find something to suit your taste. I don't understand the criticism about the prices. The food is locally sourced, preferably organic. Quality has its price, and by doing so, you're supporting not only the inn but also the region. We'll be back regularly. 5/5 stars!

A beautiful place here in the Forsthaus am Schweigelberg. Nice atmosphere, friendly service and delicious cakes for coffee in the afternoon. It's a shame that there are some negative reviews, incomprehensible, but if it remains such a nice, quiet place, then there's something positive about it. We'll definitely come back.

In the middle of nature (and in solitude). Rarely open (be sure to check beforehand!). Cannot be reached by car (and on foot it always goes up from the Ailsbachtal). Only a few dishes on the menu. And still a big recommendation! If you prepare for it beforehand. But then: nice people, food prepared skillfully and with love, the ambience of the forester's house matches the location (clearing in the middle of the forest) - you have to like it, but if so - then it's perfect!
