The wine press...is it still an insider tip? Not only does this wonderful half-timbered house with its warm, cozy ambience ensure peace and serenity, but also the service (very... very courteous, warm and extremely professional) makes you immediately arrive at this high-class restaurant, which of course is not priced in the kebab box range but where you can also leave between 30 and 40 euros for a successful main course. Admittedly, these dishes are the exception. The price reflects the excellent mix of styles between Swabian and Mediterranean cuisine in the range between 15 and 25 euros. Of course, you can only click your tongue at the tagliatelle in tomato sauce and perfectly fried prawns for 8.50 euros. Because the wine press offers that too. You don't want to be forced to display the "fancy, trendy style restaurant" here. The style comes naturally. And he gets by: a nice conversation including a wine recommendation from the boss, a small friendly greeting from the boss/head chef, a clear menu with, as mentioned, the price range "from to" and of course the incredibly well-coordinated individual components that the chef conjures up into a harmonious and very well thought-out dish. Would you like your beef fillet English? Can you get it in English? Do the various types of pasta have their bite? You have. Were the homemade spaetzle salted correctly, not left in the water for too long or too sloppy (yes, you can do a lot of things wrong)? They were made perfectly. But what should you expect: an Italian knows his way around pasta and the Swabian knows "Nudla", if the cook is also Italo-Swabian, even the spaetzle side dishes are absolutely great! The portion sizes are... Swabian😁 You'll feel full. The regional components are wonderfully incorporated into the dishes. As a small warm upper you get, for example: delicious white bread with homemade wild garlic cream. After this “bite” alone you can enjoy your starter such as: The carpaccio, sliced very finely and garnished with parmesan wedges, is hard to expect. The wine list is impressive anyway. The advice on this is also more than just a “kohsch trinka” and fits individually to the dishes on offer. The desserts are imaginative, fresh and seasonal, always a successful conclusion. The wine press really serves top-class cuisine. The garden restaurant is open in summer and when temperatures are warm. You can sit comfortably outdoors, protected by tall bushes, and enjoy it just as much as in the restaurant. The large galley and guest room are ideal for celebrations. A few more facts: Parking spaces could sometimes be limited, but you only walk a few meters if you can't find a parking space directly in front of the wine press. The entire restaurant is almost barrier-free. The toilets are very well maintained and can also be used by people with disabilities with help. The guest room is spacious so that you can find space even with a stroller. In general, the winemaking team is extremely friendly and accommodating towards children, which makes a visit to Notzingen even more worthwhile. The service is quick and professional. The friendly, familial nature is never neglected.
