Le Moulin d'Assens : Rte du Moulin 15, 1042 Assens

A superb experience! We went there one evening during the intense summer heat. The terrace by the Talent River immediately refreshed us; we felt like we were in our own garden. The service is truly lovely, full of thoughtful touches and very attentive. We chose the menus with the beef tenderloin. The meat is cooked in an open fire, if I recall correctly, with porcini mushrooms; the meat has an incredible flavor. The cooking is meticulous, and the portions are very generous. The value for money is unbeatable: the summer menu with a starter, main course, and dessert costs CHF 50... it's impossible to beat.

The setting is warm, the welcome is friendly and the service efficient. The room is organized around the fireplace where grills are made. We didn't eat outside, it was a bit chilly. The dishes are prepared carefully and cooked precisely. I had a salad to start: Very good. Then a beautifully grilled sea bass fillet, served with a lightly lemony butter: a delight. The 3 chocolate mousses for dessert, light, creamy and fragrant. In short, a very good evening to repeat.
