Restaurant Le Lion d'or : Rte de Sous-Géronde 61, 3960 Sierre

I recently had lunch at this restaurant. The welcome was very pleasant: a smiling, friendly, and attentive young waitress was a great start to the meal. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very poorly soundproofed: the resonance makes the atmosphere noisy and tiring, which detracts from the overall comfort of the meal. Food-wise, the monkfish tournedos starter was excellent, perfectly cooked, and particularly generous for a starter. The spinach and feta börek, however, disappointed me: the feta was almost entirely absent, which unbalanced the dish. I had high expectations for the main course—a veal chop with morel sauce, priced at 55 francs. The meat was of very good quality and well cooked, but the portion served was surprisingly small. For a dish at this price, one expects a more balanced plate. The imbalance between price and quantity is hard to ignore. The desserts provided a wonderful conclusion to the meal: The apples and apricots were delicious The chocolate tart was very successful In summary, while the service and some of the dishes are commendable, the value for money didn't convince me. I don't plan on returning.

I think the atmosphere is very good. The background music is very well chosen. We were served very well. The wait wasn't very long, we had time to digest before eating the next dish. The little extra I liked was that the chef came to see us. I recommend it to everyone I know.
