Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical about how a cozy country inn could turn into a gourmet pearl. . . Accordingly, the positive surprise on my first visit after the reopening was even greater! The Goldene Sternen welcomes you in the usual inn charm. Lovingly renovated down to the last detail and discreetly re-staged, the inn has lost none of its cosiness and warmth - quite the opposite. By no means the cool, stylish place that we know from many well-known gourmet temples. Quite the opposite: you immediately feel comfortable and at home, in a homely and warm atmosphere, which is supported by the warm welcome from the star team. We were all more than excited about the food, as the reigning star chef Erik Schröter has an excellent reputation. The 6-course menu we chose was a true sensory spectacle! A real firework display for the eyes and palate. You can see and taste the high-quality, top-class cuisine in every course - from the amuse-bouche to the homemade chocolates and friandises at the crowning conclusion. The wine list also surprised me more than positively. You won't find the overpriced prestige top wines here, but you'll find a balanced selection of wines at reasonable prices. My conclusion: The visit to the Gasthof zum Goldenen Sternen was a truly wonderfully surprising experience, which I would be happy to repeat and which I can warmly recommend.
