Gästehaus Seeblick : Schachenstrasse 43, 3700 Spiez

The view from this hotel is absolutely stunning. However, please note that there is no elevator, so you’ll need to carry your luggage up the stairs, which can be challenging if it’s heavy. The hotel is quiet, and most of the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, when I asked a quick question after 8 PM, the male receptionist didn’t seem very welcoming. I’m not sure if it was because I’m Asian or because I spoke to him after hours, but he looked visibly displeased. Aside from that, everyone else was kind and helpful. The view truly is the highlight of this hotel!

Nestled in the back alley's of beautiful Spiez. The rooms are new but very minimally set, no rugs on the floor just cold hard wood. No art on the walls and the TV was smaller than my computer monitor at home.... Nights are dark outside as the lights are on motion sensor and they turn off very quick...... The biggest problem is that the hotel is in the lower part of elevation....if you have luggage and have to go-to the train station which is about 10 minutes walk... Pulling your luggage all the way up the hill is going to give many a heart attack...it's quite a chore.....I had to leave early in the morning.... Around 5:20am to take a train to the Zurich Airport but the taxi service do not usually start till seven. I got Lucky as one did agree to come at 5 and I was able to reach the station in time .... The town is extremely quite with hardly anyone out and the walk after dark is a little scary though everyone says that it's very safe. Would I stay here again? Tough one to answer as the walk upto the station with luggage is difficult. Otherwise everything else is decent. I didn't mind the small TV. If you are in Switzerland and inside the hotel room, you didn't plan your trip right ... It's a good room to sleep though and there i did not have any complaints.
