I went here for first time and my experience was amazing! I truly recommend! I also recommend the white wine at the picture. Great place! Love it, I’ll be back!
One of the best rosti I had in swiss. Everything was delicious down to the bacon. Tomato pasta was good too. Note that they don't seem to encourage sharing. An additional set of cutleries will set you back by 5chf.
We were a group of five. Two dishes were all right. Two were quite ordinary, with ingredients barely worth 2-3 ChF that required little preparation, priced at over 30 ChF. And mine was pretty bad. The first page of the menu touted cassoulet as a house specialty. What I got was a tasteless desiccated duck leg and separately a pile of dry white beans. I have had cassoulet in many places in France including Carcassonne, where the dish is from. Either their cook has no idea what cassoulet is, or they ran out of cassoulet and figured that since we were not Swiss they could just give us any slop. Since anybody can Google cassoulet and find out more or less what it is, I have to conclude the latter, and I resent it. Last year I had previously eaten at their sister restaurant (in the same building, the hotel Bernerhof) with supposed Chinese food and found that rather deficient, too. I don’t recommend this hotel’s restaurants. RESPONSE TO THE OWNER’S RESPONSE. Prospective diners should please see the international generally-accepted description of Cassoulet, a French stew with beans and pork. I was served a pile of dry beans and a desiccated duck leg that had been reheated several occasions prior to being served to me. The owner’s contention that it is a Swiss dish with coincidentally the same name — well, if you believe that, by all means patronize this restaurant.
