Oak Grill doesn't allow steak to be split which is a disappoint. The waiter was pushy in ordering and his demeanor wasn't the nicest. His understanding of English wasn't great. He kept having to go and ask for answers to our questions. They don't have Jack Daniels at the Oak Room but do in the Burgenstock Hotel. The manager was talking to the sommelier to confirm my husband received two shots, and while talking, my husband looked at hom and motioned for him to come over to our table, and he went to the table next to us. How this was misconstrued I don't know He did confirm the drink was a double shot. The Oak Grill staff are haughty. The food ordered by patrons at other tables is set on trays next to me. Not the most professional way to serve food, at least for me because I am sitting next to it. The fly problem exists at the Oak Grill and a fly landed on my dinner plate next to my carrots. It also landed on the bread and crawled all around it. Disgusting and not acceptable. I realize flies are more accepted as part of living in Switzerland d but as an American I can't deal with it. The potatoes arrived lukewarm and were sent back. They took over 10 minutes to bring out new potatoes. No apologies were offered an d we had finished our meal by then. Luckily the manager removed them from the bill along with still water. The unclean dishes are stacked on a tray to my side, and totally unprofessional for a restaurant that wants to be upscale. Totally disappointed in this experience.

Amazing view and cold breeze in the middle of the hot summer. And the food is very delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The service is lovely and I would definitely come here again!

Delicious! We had the brisket for 2, and it was PERFECT! Coming from Texas I’m always a little skeptical about brisket, especially when in Europe, but this was out of this world!! Amazing dinner, and amazing restaurant staff! Thank you for having us.
