Nice portuguese kitchen offering a beef, pork and goat menu option for christmas. The tender meat and the desert variation is totally worth a recommendation. The only downsdide has been the starters, which consisted in either a very basic salad , or a bland chicken soup.

The food here was decent but the dining experience was ruined by the dishonesty of the staff. We ordered 3 main courses, 1 glass of 1dl wine, 2 glasses of 2dl wine and a cup of hot water. While ordering, the staff did not inform us of any charges for the hot water. From our experience across Switzerland, when hot water is requested, we would either be informed of the price or it would be complementary. When the bill was charged, we saw that there was a charge for tea at the price of 3.50chf. We were confused as we did not order tea, so we asked the staff about the charge and were given a variety of excuses. She first stated that the tea charge was a tax that had to be paid for the hot water. She then stated that they did not serve hot water so the price of tea and hot water would be the same. She later said that as we were paying a lower price for the main courses here as compared to the rest of Switzerland, then we should accept that the price of hot water is higher. Due to the inconsistency of her response with regards to the hot water charges, we were disappointed at the lack of honesty on two accounts. Firstly, the staff should have informed us of the charges accordingly during our order if the water was not complementary. Secondly, the staff should have had a clear response to what the charges represented and not a myriad of excuses. Such conduct of the staff is akin to cheating and was really upsetting. Was thoroughly disappointed and surprised at the lack of honesty with regards to this and it really made the end of the evening unpleasant. In response to the restaurant's response For all reading this, to clarify ,the olives were on the table before we were seated for pairing with the meal. We had the olives with our meal and took the leftover 2 olive. If you were to charge me for the 2 olive, we will gladly pay for them unlike cheating us for tee which we did not consume at all. Back to the feedback, not sure what the response you gave has to do with the hot water charges. Again a barrage of excuses and unapologetic behaviour, as u can all see first-hand. Coming back to the issue, the review was done with regard to the hot water charges, but the restaurant has been unable to give any acceptable explanation even in their online response. I too wish you good luck in running your restaurant with such self-serving, non-progressive and dishonest behaviour
