Brasserie Le Gogant, Rte de France 8, 1348 Le Chenit

I had lunch in this upscale hotel restaurant a Friday mid May of 2025. They have been awarded the title Bib Gourmand by the Michelin guide which means they serve good food at fair prices. This is partly true, my arctic char quenelles were excellent, the desert delicious and the local red of good quality although overpriced. Service was pleasant although on the slow side. Unfortunately, the restaurant has adopted the bad habit from the German speaking part of the country to charge guests for tap water even when they have wine with their meal. This is the main reason why I, as usual, have removed one star from my overall note.

I ate here 3 days in a row, every single dish was perfect, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The produce used for their dishes are all local and artisanal. I hope to come here again soon. Not to forget the view is also excellent.

As of February 2023, this is the only restaurant in the hotel. At first I was worried about the limited selection on the menu. However, once the food had arrived, I found out that my worries was unfounded. Every dish was delicious. The pork loin was quite tender, it was amazing. The grilled vegetable was grilled just right. The steak was amazing as well. I especially loved the grilled mushroom bits. Absolutely delicious. I would also like to add that the restaurant operational manager was one of the most awesome I’ve met on this trip. He went out of his way to accommodate all our need. I would definitely recommend eating here if you are ever in the area.
