After 33 years, we were finally able to return to one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had. Up the mountain, along a thrilling windy road, through the woods, to a little farm outside of St. Croix , is a little bit of heaven. A farm that started making Cheese Beignets years ago, that has evolved into a wonderful little chalet café. You are immersed in a warm, cozy, relaxing environment, surrounded by the farm and filled with authentic Swiss cow bells. The Cheese Beignets are hot, light, and amazingly full of flavor. They serve you until you can't eat anymore. I had a nice amber Swiss beer and my wife had local red wine. And don't miss the short hike up the rest of the hill where a viewpoint is perched on a cliff overlooking the Swiss countryside, including Lake Neuchatel and Lake Geneva. What a joy!
