Trybhouz Bar, Altenbergrain 69, 3013 Bern

One of my favorite spots on the Aare. Chilled place right on the Aare, great for a stop if you're swimming. Decent selection of chilled beer bottled and tap and the burgers are amazing .

Nestled by the picturesque Aare river, Trybhouz Bar is a jewel in Bern's vibrant dining scene, especially during the warm days of summer. Our visit was marked by a slight hiccup with our burger order, which turned into an unexpected adventure. Our order initially got lost in the shuffle. The process was a bit unusual as the cashier took down only our name and instructed us to return in 15 minutes. When the time came to collect, our order was nowhere to be found—not even a receipt in sight. The cook, displaying both efficiency and friendliness, quickly took down our order again, this time on paper, and prepared our burgers post-haste. The resolution was swift, turning our initial disappointment into a mere blip on an otherwise delightful radar. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Dopleburger—a culinary masterpiece featuring a hearty combination of meat and halloumi. The flavors were well-balanced, with the cheese adding a subtle but distinct touch that complemented the meat beautifully. Despite the initial order confusion, the experience at Trybhouz Bar was overwhelmingly positive. The staff's effective handling of our issue and the delicious food ensured that our spirits remained high. Just a tip: keep an eye on your order, and maybe set a timer for those 15 minutes. But once you take a bite of what they have to offer, any small inconveniences will quickly be forgotten.
