I had a wonderful dining experience at Restaurant Veda, an Indian-style restaurant that truly delivers on authenticity and flavor. I enjoyed the Chicken Tula Masala, served sizzling hot on a cast iron skillet—tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. It came with a side of fragrant basmati rice, beautifully presented in a traditional brass bowl. The rich yellow curry sauce was served separately, allowing me to customize each bite. The appetizer was equally impressive—hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The garlic naan was served in a bread bowl, warm and pillowy, perfect for scooping up every bit of sauce. I sipped on a chilled mango lassi, which was fresh, creamy, and the perfect complement to the spices of the meal. Before the main course, I was served a crispy, spicy cracker topped with sesame seeds—an unexpected but delightful touch. For dessert, I had a refreshing mango yogurt sprinkled with sweet raisins, followed by a strong cup of espresso to keep me alert for the drive home. From start to finish, every detail was thoughtful, and every bite was delicious. I highly recommend Restaurant Veda to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Indian dining experience.
I have been here a couple times, and both of which were carry out experiences. But I will say, when I was greeted in German - I responded in English, the gentleman graciously switched languages and was very polite. He respectfully called me by my last name, and offered me a shot of Mango Lassi on the house while he gathered my order. I’m a huge fan of Indian food, especially Chicken Tikka Masala, and Veg Samosas. Both of which I was very pleased with. The flavor profile was on point for the Masala, but typically it comes “saucier” if you know what I mean. It was good though & I would order it again. The Veg Samosa was really good! Fried perfectly. I was given three different sauces with it that I’d never had before. > One was spicy, another was creamy - made with yogurt, and the last was yellow and had some tang to it. Let me just end with this… If you don’t order that Mango Lassi > you are missing out, because it’s one of the best I’ve ever tasted.
A very cozy and warm Indian restaurant located in a quite place. The ambiance is really nice and welcoming and leaves no room for complains. After reaching the place at around 18:40. We had to wait around 40 minutes on our table without any kind of service. Finally since our kids were really getting hungry and restless we had to request the owner to take our order and also for some quick snacks. Again after a very very long waiting time we were finally served our food. The food was pretty ok. The starters were very oily. We did find the gravys to be a bit watered down and on the thinner and not so spicy side. But the owner mentioned that this resembles typical home cooked food, something I cannot confirm since I have not had homemade North Indian food. The quality of the lamb pieces and prawns was really nice. The naan was definitely not a traditional naan and resembled more like a pizza bread. We had ordered a Veda platter for one but we were wrongly served a platter for two. Ideally I would have expected to be charged only for our order but unfortunately this was not the case. One thing I should mention though that the owner and his sister seemed like really nice people. Towards the end the owner also acknowledged the delay in the service due to unexpected number of guests ( the place was indeed full) and also offered us some mango lassi. I would not mind giving this place a second chance sometime mid week when it might be a bit calm. Overall I must say that this particular experience was not fulfilling and did leave a lot of wishes open.
